Munnar is a quaint town and an idyllic hill station located in the Western Ghats of Kerala and is blessed with some of the precious natural gems. The gargling streams and the hills touching the clouds add some extra charm to its beauty.

Sits gracefully at an altitude of 6000 ft in the district of Idukki, Munnar used to be the summer resort of the British rulers during colonial times.

It is known for its green belt of lush forests and unending expanse of tea estates and is also home to some of the endangered species of animals like Neelakurinji and Nilgiri Tahr. It is known to be one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in South India due to its pristine valleys, mountains, and exotic varieties of flora and fauna.

 

Day 1: Arrival in Munnar | Sightseeing at Munnar

  • Arrival at Cochin Airport from Bangalore from where you will be picked up by our representative and transferred to Munnar.
  • On the way to Munnar, you will visit some popular attractions to make the journey exciting and enjoyable.
  • Check-in to your pre-booked hotel in Munnar and freshen up to explore the hill station.
  • The sightseeing begins with a visit to the Valara Falls, located 39 KM before Munnar, which you will be able to spot from the highway itself.
  • Next, on the way is the Tea Museum, which is a must-visit place in Munnar. Relish the aroma of the tea plants as you carry on with your journey.
  • Later visit the Rose Garden, a beautiful flower garden which houses a large variety of plants.
  • Wrap up the day with a visit to the Pothamedu View Point which offers spectacular views of the tea and cardamom plantations of Munnar, and is an ideal place to spend the evening.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 : Munnar | Explore the city to its best

  • Wake up to a refreshing morning in the hill station and get ready to explore the hill station.
  • The second day of the Bangalore to Munnar Package Tour begins with a visit to the Eravikulam National Park, which houses a large variety of flora and fauna and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the home of the most famous mountain goat, the Nilgiri Tahr.
  • The Mattupetty Dam will be the next stop of the day. Enjoy boating on the lake while being surrounded by wooden hills and tea plantations. Also, visit the Echo Point on the way.
  • Another picturesque lake awaits you in the hill station, the Kundala Lake, and the tea estates located around the area are a feast to the eyes.
  • The last stop for the day is the Top Station, where you can loosen up as you witness a 360-degree view of the Western Ghats.
  • Return to the hotel after an entertaining day of sightseeing and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Departure to Kochi | Its time to say Goodbye

  • Wake up to a beautiful morning at your hotel in Munnar and enjoy some local tea.
  • Post breakfast, pack your bags and get ready for departure on the final day of the Munnar tour package from Bangalore.
  • You will be transferred to Kochi via Thekkady, as you leave with fond memories of the hill station on the Bangalore to Munnar tour package.

  • Tempo Traveller or Mini Bus (with push back seats).
  • Note: This trip involves overnight journey on a push back Seater (Not sleeper or semi-sleeper).
  • We request you to book this trip only if you can handle slight discomfort (especially the last row of the vehicle).

  • Minibus: 25-30 + 2 Guide

Stay:

  • Accommodation in 3 star Hotel on double occupancy
  • 3 Days & 2 Nights
  • Each tent has a pillow & blanket (If u r not comfortable can carry own bedsheets)

Food:

  • 3 Breakfasts and 2 Dinner will be served.

Things to carry:

  • Toiletries, moisturiser, light towel, lip balm, wet wipes, toothbrush, toothpaste
  • A lightweight large Backpack for the trip (no suitcase, no trolley)
  • A small backpack for water activities (to carry a water bottle, change clothes, towel, etc)
  • Photo identity proof with address (Aadhar/Passport/Voter ID)
  • Poncho or rainproof jacket with a hood (Not Mandatory)
  • Shorts, T-shirt for water sports.
  • Cap/Hat/Sunscreen (to avoid getting tanned bigtime)
  • Sunglasses (to keep your eyes fresh)
  • Power bank, charger, camera (if you wish to)
  • Proper water bottle for your trip. You may fill at our campsite
  • Disposable garbage covers (To separate used/unused, dry/wet clothes)
  • Any kind of sandals or shoes are fine as there is no trek
  • Your personal medications, if any
  • Pair of water wear to take a dip in the river/sea
  • Carrying a handwash/sanitizer/tissues will help during the trip
  • Carry your jerkin/sweater — it can get cold at night as its close to the forest
  • Carry a little bit of cash for Sunday lunch, dinner, and misc. expenses
  • Don’t carry expensive items. You are responsible for your own belongings.
  • No Hot water for shower

Remember Luxury and Experience won’t be together! This is an experience based event in which we will cover maximum Places in limited time! be prepared for a bit of long travels as we must travel to the places where they are.

 

Trek: Cancellation Policy

  • No Cancellations/Refunds once the booking is done
  • If cancellation is done before 15 days of the trip, we can issue a refund.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases we will try their best to provide an alternative feasible solution.
  • However, a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.

Payment Terms:

  • 50% Advance at the time of Confirmation, Balance at the time of departure Advisory.
  • Timings for meals will be specific which will be informed to you by the guide.
  • Do not expect luxury as we will be travelling through pristine and untamed nature.
  • Do pay heed to the guidelines given by the instructor.
  • Do not expect separate accommodation as it is a group trip.
  • Drop points will be the same as pickup points
  • Bring your own mask and sanitizer.
  • Adventurous trek/trip does NOT come with luxury, so please have the mindset accordingly
  • Strictly follow the Reporting time, Program schedule and Instructions given by the Organizers through the entire duration of the program.
  • Please don’t throw the plastic and garbage in the Forest
  • Event Schedule, route and Plans are subject to change in case of any inconvenience that occurred at the time of tour without any prior intimation. Travellers have to adjust to any such consequence.
  • Mapstop Adventures has all rights to modify or cancel the trekking event due to unavoidable circumstances.
