Wayanad is a beautiful district located in the north-eastern part of the southern state of Kerala, India. This district is known for its pristine natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and abundant wildlife. When you visit Wayanad, you can experience the beauty of the Western Ghats and immerse yourself in the local culture. One of the must-visit attractions in Wayanad is the Banasura Sagar Dam. This dam is the largest earthen dam in India and is surrounded by beautiful hills and lush greenery. You can go on a speedboat ride on the lake formed by the dam or go on a trek to the nearby hills.

Another attraction in Wayanad is the Edakkal Caves, which are believed to be over 8,000 years old. The caves have several carvings and inscriptions, and you can learn about the region’s history and culture. To reach the caves, you need to trek through a beautiful forest and climb a steep hill.

Wayanad is also famous for its tea and coffee plantations. You can take a leisurely walk through the plantations and learn about the tea and coffee-making process. You can also taste the freshly brewed tea and coffee and buy some to take back home.

 

 

Day 1 : Departure from Bangalore:

  • Once you reach the campsite, check into your Homestay and freshen up.
  • Enjoy your breakfast from there & Get ready to explore the famous places in Wayanad

Day 2 : Wayanad Sightseeking, Exploring the Unexplored Hill Station of Kerala

  • Reach Wayanad in the morning and take a breath of fresh air amidst views of picturesque valleys.
  • Head towards your hotel and proceed with the check-in formalities.
  • Have a delicious breakfast.
  • After breakfast, depart to witness the magnificent beauty of Wayanad.
  • Visit Edakkal Cave the most famous cave in Wayanad.
  • Head towards, Banasura dam the largest earth dam in India, constructed in the Banasura lake in Kalpetta, one can indulge in speed boating, and horse riding at your own cost.
  • After a soothing day, have your lunch (at additional cost) at around 2:00 PM and relax in the serene beauty of nature.
  • One can also indulge in Ziplining, Kayaking, climbing on rock panels, archery, and land zorbing here at your own cost.
  • Next, head towards Wayanad Tea Museum and get to know about antique exhibits that provide information on the history of tea production in Wayanad, machines used for processing tea leaves in the past, and old photos of tea gardens and factories.
  • One can also taste the flavor of different kinds of tea at the tea bar here.
  • After an adventurous day, proceed towards your hotel and then enjoy your delicious dinner.
  • Overnight stay at Wayanad.

Day 3: Departure & Sightseeing

  • Wake up with a magnificent view and a delicious breakfast from the hotel and proceed with the sightseeing tour of Wayanad.
  • 900 Kandi can be called the best-kept secret in Wayanad. It is one of the most phenomenal and earthy views of Wayanad in all its glory (Glass Bridge)
  • After the sightseeing tour, have your lunch by 2:00 PM (At an additional cost) in the peace of nature while enjoying the views.
  • Soochipara Falls ( is based on availability of permission)
  • Depart for Bangalore around 4:00 PM with a bag full of memories.
    Note:- You’ll be reaching back to Bangalore around 12:00 AM Midnight.

Travel:

  • Comfortable and Hygienic vehicle (Tempo Traveler) for sightseeing on all days as per the itinerary.
  • Note: This trip involves overnight journey on a push back Seater (Not sleeper or semi-sleeper).
  • We request you to book this trip only if you can handle slight discomfort (especially the last row of the vehicle).
  • Overnight Journey through AC vehicles, Tempo Traveler (according to the group size).

Pickup Points

  • Indira Nagar (9 PM)
  • Domlur (9.15 PM)
  • Mysore Road (9.30 PM)

Stay:

  • Accommodation in 3-star Hotel on double occupancy.
  • Each tent has a pillow & blanket (If u r not comfortable can carry own bedsheets)

Food:

  •  Buffet Breakfasts from Day 2 & Day 3.
  • Buffet Dinner on Day 2

Things to carry:

  • Toiletries, moisturiser, light towel, lip balm, wet wipes, toothbrush, toothpaste
  • A lightweight large Backpack for the trip (no suitcase, no trolley)
  • A small backpack for water activities (to carry a water bottle, change clothes, towel, etc)
  • Photo identity proof with address (Aadhar/Passport/Voter ID)
  • Poncho or rainproof jacket with a hood (Not Mandatory)
  • Shorts, T-shirt for water sports.
  • Cap/Hat/Sunscreen (to avoid getting tanned bigtime)
  • Sunglasses (to keep your eyes fresh)
  • Power bank, charger, camera (if you wish to)
  • Proper water bottle for your trip. You may fill at our campsite
  • Disposable garbage covers (To separate used/unused, dry/wet clothes)
  • Any kind of sandals or shoes are fine as there is no trek
  • Your personal medications, if any
  • Pair of water wear to take a dip in the river/sea
  • Carrying a handwash/sanitizer/tissues will help during the trip
  • Carry your jerkin/sweater — it can get cold at night as its close to the forest
  • Carry a little bit of cash for Sunday lunch, dinner, and misc. expenses
  • Don’t carry expensive items. You are responsible for your own belongings.
  • No Hot water for shower

Remember Luxury and Experience won’t be together! This is an experience based event in which we will cover maximum Places in limited time! be prepared for a bit of long travels as we must travel to the places where they are.

 

Trek: Cancellation Policy

  • No Cancellations/Refunds once the booking is done
  • If cancellation is done before 15 days of the trip, we can issue a refund.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases we will try their best to provide an alternative feasible solution.
  • However, a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.

Payment Terms:

  • 50% Advance at the time of Confirmation, Balance at the time of departure Advisory.
  • Timings for meals will be specific which will be informed to you by the guide.
  • Do not expect luxury as we will be travelling through pristine and untamed nature.
  • Do pay heed to the guidelines given by the instructor.
  • Do not expect separate accommodation as it is a group trip.
  • Drop points will be the same as pickup points
  • Bring your own mask and sanitizer.
  • Adventurous trek/trip does NOT come with luxury, so please have the mindset accordingly
  • Strictly follow the Reporting time, Program schedule and Instructions given by the Organizers through the entire duration of the program.
  • Please don’t throw the plastic and garbage in the Forest
  • Event Schedule, route and Plans are subject to change in case of any inconvenience that occurred at the time of tour without any prior intimation. Travellers have to adjust to any such consequence.
